30 Facts About Me

Seeing as this is my first post, I didn't want to dig into anything too deep. I wanted to keep it lighthearted and help you guys get to know me a bit more!

1) My name is Aishani but people close to me call me Aishu.

2) My favourite colour has consistently stayed pink, even when all the girls thought it was too "girly" and changed their favourite colour to blue back in like 2016.

3) My birthday is on the 23rd November 2004.

4) My sun sign is Sagittarius, my moon sign is Aries and my rising sign is Leo, I know, very fiery!!

5) I was born and brought up in London but I am of Indian descent.

6) I am currently learning tarot, however, I have owned tarot cards, angel cards, chakra cards and moon cards for quite a long time.

7) I am going into year 12 in school and the A-levels I am taking are Maths, Philosophy and Ethics (it's one subject), Psychology and Economics.

8) I have A LOT of hobbies because I want to experience as much as I can in life.

9) I love to play sports and work out but I equally love to crochet in bed with some incense in the background.

10) I have managed to read nearly my entire school library, it's been 5 years but I am determined to finish it within my last 2 years of school.

11) My name is an ancient Sanskrit name which is another name for the goddess Durga.

12) Some people I grew up looking up to were my parents (obviously) and my aunt who is basically my second mother, she has guided me so much in life and was my first spiritual teacher. Also, my grandma because she's my best friend!!

13) The religion I follow is Hinduism but I consider it more a way of life as opposed to a religion.

14) I really love watching anime, I grew up watching Naruto and now it is one of my favourite shows ever, it just comforts me in ways that nothing else can.

15) My favourite sport is definitely dance, in particular, ballet. I am currently doing my grade 6 in ballet. I also love lacrosse a lot, I've been playing for 5 years now and it's my favourite ball sport aside from cricket (I think it would be an insult to be Indian and not like cricket).

16) I am definitely more of a tomboy over a girly girl. I do love dressing up once in a while but I'd rather have a lightsaber fight with 12-year-olds and manspread rather than wear a dress or paint my nails.

17) I don't know if this is a fact about me but I really respect people who can do makeup, I did some for my year 11 prom and it took me ages to figure out what was what and I wasn't even able to do a full proper face.

18) I'm tall, like pretty tall for a 16 year old girl, I'm around 174cm but it's different every time I measure myself so I don't really know exactly how tall I am.

19) I am a very family-oriented person, I am very introverted but I love to spend time with my family, even if they may be quite loud and chaotic at times.

20) My dream job would probably be to open up a few small cafes which just have good vibes, a lot of crystals and plants and homemade cakes. I would also want to make it a bit of a warm and cosy place with books and blankets and I could maybe do tarot readings as well. It would be a comforting place where I would meet like-minded people and just a happy place for anyone and everyone.

21) My mum has a really cool job/business. She has her own food business and that means I have grown up working on a food stand at music festivals. It is VERY labour intensive but my 11 year old self was very proud when I finally got moved from selling drinks to being allowed to occasionally fry when it wasn't busy.

22) I don't have any allergies, again, my mum has a food business so even if I did have allergies I'd probably just end up eating the food anyways. I am a vegetarian though, I was born a vegetarian and have never eaten egg, fish or meat. I haven't even tried a cake with egg in it which is why I am so glad my mum can cook and bake so well.

23) My biggest fear is definitely not being able to help the people around me. I just want everyone around me to be happy and feel like they have someone who they can rely on for all their problems. I try my very best to make sure that everyone around me is feeling ok because it automatically makes me feel better if other people are happy. Life's tough and sometimes it's nice to remind people that you're there for them, nobody has to go through anything alone and we are all in this together (yes I love HSM), I just want people to know they have a safe place/person.

24) I am an empath which is a psychic thing but basically, I can feel other people's emotions which allows me to connect with people on a deeper level. I also have a very strong intuition, hence all the spiritual activity. I guess it is a blessing and a curse because it allows me to easily get people to feel better because I can understand how they feel but it is so draining sometimes because I gather up too many people's energies.

25) I really really want some pets. I love cats and dogs so much! I think I'd want to get a cat first because they're less maintenance and they also protect you from negative energies and just spiritually protect you in general. Once I am older and have settled down with my life I'd like to get a dog or maybe multiple.

26) I love travelling. In fact, sometimes I feel a bit claustrophobic if we haven't left London for a while. When I am older I would love to solo travel all over a continent, either Europe or Asia.

27) The thing I want to study in university is something along the lines of philosophy, politics and economics (PPE) or a single honours philosophy degree. They're both things that I am really passionate about. I know that for my master's I would like to do Eastern philosophy but I would want to go to a country in Asia to do that, maybe Japan or something.

28) I am really bad at receiving compliments, I have no idea why but I always get so flustered and change the topic of the conversation.

29) I am very clumsy, I absolutely hate it, I have embarrassed myself so many times because of it. I remember one time, I managed to convince one of my friends that I wasn't clumsy and fell over a bicycle that was on the ground, it was not one of my brightest moments.

30) I REALLY hate y/n fanfics. For some reason, y/n is always this girl who is "not like other girls" and it frustrates me so much because why wouldn't a person want to be like other girls? Other girls are so intelligent, beautiful, funny, talented and I could go on. Honestly, I would consider it more of an insult to be "not like other girls". And yes, I am a Wattpad reader...

Anyways that concludes this week's blog post, I hope you enjoyed this casual post! From next week, I will be uploading posts about more philosophical and spiritual things. I am still in the process of figuring out how to work this website so please bear with me!! I hope you all have the best week, see you guys soon, love you <33.
