22 Things I Hope for 2022

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! I want to keep today's post super short and simple so let's get straight into it.

Things I Want for 2022:

1) That it is a year of healing for everyone, whether this means reaching out for help or finding a solution yourself. I hope that people are able to heal from things they don't want to talk about and that it is a year where pain is alleviated and we are able to spread healing to other people as well.
2) I want 2022 to be a year where people DRINK WATER. It sounds stupid but seriously, some of ya'll need to sort out your dehydrated selves and drink some water.
3) I hope that throughout next year, people realise that they aren't alone. There may be times where you're in a group of people but still feel alone. I want everyone to know that they're never alone, even if you may physically be alone, you've always got your spirit guides and if it means anything at all, you have me.
4) Another thing, kind of related to the last one, is that people understand that it is ok to share your burdens and problems with others. Life's tough so don't try to bear it all by yourself.
5) As well as sharing your burdens, I want people to realise you can also share your joys. Vent about your happiness and don't let other people bring it down. Talking about your happiness will also spread it for it is a contagious thing.
6) I hope that 2022 is a year where people understand their worth, because, whether you know it or not, you are worthy and you deserve nothing less than the best.
7) I want people to realise that losing things doesn't always mean it is always bad. Sometimes losing things like "friends" may really hurt in the moment and you're allowed to feel hurt but you should understand that sometimes, certain people or things aren't right for you in the moment and you shouldn't dwell upon it.
8) I hope that in 2022, everyone finds their people. By their people, I mean that group of friends or family who you know have your back no matter what. The people who you know you can tell anything to and those people who make your heart beat of excitement just at the thought of spending time with them.
9) I want 2022 to be a year of change. I am usually good at handling change but since school started this year, change hasn't exactly been my friend. I want that to change in 2022. I want to be able to embrace change with open arms and accept whatever the universe has in store for me.
10) I want 2022 to be a year of peace. These past few years have been so hectic and I'm still struggling to process 2020. I just want the world to be able to take a bit of a break and do things one day at a time at a pace which each person feels comfortable in.
11) This is something I want for everyone. I want everyone to buy themselves flowers. For absolutely no reason at all, just because you're you and you deserve the flowers.
12) Another really important thing is that I hope people can understand that there is nothing more powerful than the present. Waiting for "tomorrow" to do things is quite simply just a waste of time. If you want to bring a change upon your schedule or life in general, you need to start now. Starting now doesn't mean a drastic change, just a few small changes at a time.
13) (My favourite number!) I want 2022 to be a year of abundance and luck. I don't only mean financial abundance but also just an abundance of love or good health.
14) I want every single person in the world to feel loved. Whether it is finding that love from outside or self love, everyone is worthy of love and I want every single person in the world to experience it.
15) This is a super important one and a bit personal to me as well. I want people to work out because they feel good, not because you want to be thinner. Trust me when I say people will always hate you no matter what your body looks like so you may as well do things for the pure enjoyment you get from it.
16) I hope 2022 is a year full of random acts of kindness. I want to give kindness to the world and I want more people to do that. It can be something as small as helping an old lady carry her shopping to her car. I know that being kind makes me feel really good too, so why not be kind?
17) I want 2022 to be a year full of self care. Kind of continuing from number 15, I want people to do things because they enjoy it and not because they feel obliged to do so. Obviously there are certain obligations we all need to fulfill but I want people to try and do at least 1 thing a day that you do only for yourself.
18) This is kind of a continuation from 16 but I want people to talk to themselves with kindness. Talk to yourself as though you're talking to your best friend or a little kid. You deserve the kindness so treat yourself like it.
19) I hope that in 2022, we are all able to let go of grudges. As someone who's not always been treated the nicest, I've kind of learnt that holding grudges does nothing good for you. It leaves a heavy feeling within you and is more of a burden to yourself than the other person. I can stand up and honestly say I have no grudges against anyone. I will hate on actions but not people because frankly, it doesn't serve me any purpose and not holding grudges allows me to live a carefree life. I hope more people are able to do that.
20) Start a new hobby. Many people may feel as though they're "not suited" for certain things but I want people to just go for what they enjoy and start the new hobby they've been meaning to start for a while.
21) This is a bit of a weird one but, send handwritten letters. I feel like there is so much emotion behind a handwritten letter. It is almost as though the person receiving your letter can also feel the love you put in that letter. It is something so personal and something that I think people should aspire to do, even if it's just once.
22) The last thing I want for the world is that we do something that scares us. Growth within us will never occur unless we step out of our comfort zone and conquer our fears. It brings us one step closer to being the best versions of ourselves.

I hope everyone has a lovely New Year, love you guys <33
